I got some new tires last monday, so i went out to have some fun now that i finally have traction. Me and some friends were hanging out in a huge empty parking lot doing donuts and burnouts when we all decided to do some drag racing at this local empty strip. We had a crx si manual with cai, exhaust, and C/F hood, my car (look below for mods), s2000 manual with cai and exhaust, and an eclipse gt gen 2 sport-tronic shifter with cai and exhaust. The first race was me and the s2000, i held dead even with him til about 50 mph then he took off like i was standing still those things are f'king fast! My next race was against the crx, not much to say, he just listened to my dual flows for a quarter mile . The last race was me against and the eclipse, This was a pretty close race. I got the jump on him and then hung at about a car length in front until we hit 70 then i pulled about another car length before the race was over . So far its been a great break. I should be running a bmw z3 roadster edtion manual before the week is out. Wish me luck!

No offense, Rico....Suave is it? But I would have gone again, and I really dont think he knew what he was doing.
Your factory rated 150hp stang (as nice as it may be) wouldnt stand a chance with a decent driver in an S2000. Ok, I fogot about the CAI and the true dual exhaust...but my guess is those mods wash out the 200 extra pounds of stereo equip you have in the trunk.
Grant it, the s2000's torque curve (240 Max HP @7500rpm) is a little weak, but once a good driver gets the revs up, its gonna leave you. On top of that, I believe the Honda is about 200-400 lbs lighter.
I'm not saying this to bash you my friend, and I'm happy you are a proud mustang owner. Again, I'm not saying you didnt beat him, I'm saying with the right driver, you wouldnt beat him
Later,
Jason

jasons99gt, please reread my post before giving me a reply like that. I said that he got a bad start and we were about even til 50 mph, after that he "took off like i was standing still". I didnt win. This isnt anything that unbelievable, those cars peak at 150 lb pds of torque. I didnt go again because, as my 2nd post said, "he didnt want to go again". And Im not giving you my stories because i think my car is fast, believe me, i know its not. I just thought everyone would like hearing my kills.
