The 87-93 GT was rated at 225 at the flywheel. later on in the years they changed the method in which HP is measured, so the later ones (maybe 92-95) were rated at 215. Also the 4.6L in 96-97 was rated at 215 (the same as the later 5.0s). I'm not sure why in 98 they go the 225 rating (what is different?). A stock 96-98 manual will put down 180-190 rwhp, again the same as the 5.0s. They difference is the power curve between the two. The 5.0 has more low end and the 4.6 will make its peak power at a higher rpm. BTW... good kill!! :thumbup
