Great kill Yorchi, looks like you had him by at least 3 car lengths by the time you passed the camera.

Even though he was no competition for you, I still feel you did the right thing by not racing for pinks. I wouldn't take 3 of those civics for your Mach 1, and also you just never know....

Thanks for making us proud....another ricer bits the dust.

Yorchi my man, that's how its done. At the track, in front of witnesses.

I hope he had to at least cover the track fees and gas.

No bs at the track. Lots better than getting the ass in a sling for street racing!

Excellent work.

Little something you might want to know about the full potential of light imports with engine swaps. While I will agree with u about being able to beat this guy but tiny civics with somewhat potent 4 bangers can eat some muscle cars for lunch. My dad's friend build a CRX and managed to cram an H22 (190 hp vtech pulling 7500 revs) into the tiny engine bay. He also stripped the interior of just about anything and added a 75 dry shot of n20. So comes the time for him to test drive his little weekend plaything, he ran 13.5s with street tires. Now seeing as how this kid probably doesnt know what hes doing you will smoke him.

but damn

Beat up CRX body - $700
Used H22 Motor - $800
75 Shot - $600
Smoking Grandpa in his '69 Camaro - Priceless

I know the full potential of the 4 banger world...I used to have my own...an h23 Prelude Si...I love them too, I just know that unless it's a fully built b16 with some type of forced induction or n20...I should have nothing to worry about...I just wanted to post up the story and vid

good rule of thumb......dont ever race for pinks, and if you do, make sure its someone you can beat the living $hit out of. dont be as gay as paul walker.

In my opinion, stay away from him. He may just be overconfident, or he may be hiding some nitrous somewhere. I've raced both modded SI's and a couple of mach 1's and barely beat both of them. Granted the modded SI had an H22 in it, which obviously makes more HP than a B16. All in all, its not worth it. You dont have the money to lose and he really isnt worth it. Take it to the track and settle it like men. Heads up, from a dig. I think it will be close, but you should take him if you are a better driver.

I love when old threads pop up like this it amuses me. Hey at least some people may read this and take some of the advice.

Just because your bigger than me doesn't mean you can kick my ass.

Just because your car is faster than mine doesn't mean you will beat me in a race.

I bet you a dollar if you give me two dollars I'll give you three in return...

Here's what I'd do. I'd accept the offer and show up with a friend's crotch-rocket cycle. He never specified anything, did he?

Step two: Put the moron in his place. You can either risk the fact that he'll stoop to the level of sabotage, or play offense.

Don't race for pinks. It's not worth it. Seriously. Not because I'm against racing for pinks, but for the cost of your car versus the cost of his car.

You always have to plan for that worse case scenario.

Take Glen's idea and slap $500 on his Hood and say "We race now, we race for this." and see what he does. If he doesn't do it, call him out. If he tries to say you're scared of losing your car, say you are.

Guys like him are easy to take down if you simply play with their mind. Give them nothing to talk smack about and they've got nothing left.
