At least stop blowing people's egos up with the "I got a HEMMMMIII" line. With that HEMI they believe they can accomplish amazing even impossible feats. Which brings me neatly to my encounter this morning. I had to shut down some old guy and his old wife in their fugly green 300C today. Same setup as usual... I pass this guy this morning going about 80 and he is going 70 something in the slow lane. Thats fine except when I pass he gets behind me and speeds up and paces me about a car length behind me. I hate it when people follow that close and I especially dislike this guy for pacing me now just because im going faster. So i slowly ramp up to 100 mph in 5th gear and he is still back there with this smile on his face. I get in the right lane to let him pass since that is what I have to assume he will do since he wants to go so fast now... .Well he doesnt he just sits there pacing me in my blindspot. So we are crusing at 100 now and out of nowhere the old guy just lays into it. I swiftly downshift to 4th as he is crossing my front bumper and reel his hemi in and absolutely obliterate him as I shift into 5th gear. I decide not to let up for a bit since the road is clear and by the time I do he is a distant memory in the mirror. He never came around again and I resumed my 80mph cruise. *sigh*
You know, I agree with yall about the almighty HEMI BS. However my sister is thinking about getting a srt-8 charger and I'M ENCOURAGING IT! Sorry guys but it is a lot faster than my six and if she gets one I might get to drive it

Next time from the getgo, don't take it to 100mph in 5th, drop it down into 4th and embarass him in front of his wife. Then he'll have no hope of trying to run with you.
I was ata light with one of those, I got off the line quicker, not hard, but a normal launch, and since our exhaust notes are kinda loud he musta thought i was racing him, so he stepped on it. He started walking by me(but I was only at 1/2 throttle. So I just put it to the floor...goodbye.

The commercials may be annoying to those of us that know 345 horses has trouble really moving something over 2 tons but The Hemi reintroduction has been a sales boom. Dodge hit the performance nerve of the American public with a name legendary in performance lore. There is someone in marketing at Dodge right now who has job security. The same can't be said at GM or especially Pontiac's performance marketing.

I know, i really love all these old guys who think they have some fast **** in their HEMI's. Wow, in not at all scared, first off because your 4 door monster wieghs in at 10 tons!! And because you have a Hemi, but not really, just a bigger dispacement motor, and a few badges. I mean if you want to get technical, a Honda motor is actually a "hemi" too, but that a different story. But at the end of the day its still a 4 door sedan that gets 2 and a half miles a gallon, and ur still slow......

I have an 06 Charger and a 5.0 Mustang....People love the hype of the HEMI but you can't deny its one hell of a car. It's a 4 door car that runs 14's stock......People with the new mustangs are the same way..An 04 Cobra kills all of the new mustangs and thats with the old fox body style

I know someone who works for Daimler Chrysler and he said they are getting ready to lay off like 40% of their employees. And those probably arnt even hemis, I think they just said that so idiots like my brother would spend over 20k for a new one,just kidding they are, but half a$$ hemis anyways. Doesn't it seem like Chrysler doesn't try to make their vehicles better and more efficient? They still do the traditional MOPAR, shove a huge motor in a light body and get like 12.5 mpg approximately.
