So I'm on the freeway earlier today going to my friends shop, when I notice in my rear view this yellow GTO hauling ass weaving in and out of traffic. At first I didn't want to start anything cuz my exit was coming up, so I start changing lanes, and when I look in my rearview there's this GTO on my a$$, so I exit and so did the GTO. So I'm thinking cool I've always wanted to go up against a GTO just to see how I would do.We had to go through a few lights before we were able to line up next to each other, the whole time the GTO was on my a$$, so I knew it wanted to race. So the GTO pulls up next to me and it's a chick driving it. She looks at me and I nod and so those she, light turns green I get a good launch, and didn't miss a gear, and I smoked her pretty bad by about 2-3 car lenghts.I could'nt believe I smoked her that bad. We come up to the next light and she says she would of smoked me cuz her GTO is moded,and the traction control was on.So I told her "yeah you should be able to smoke me, just learn how to drive it first." She didn't say anything else.Then at another light she was lined up against a s197(the new mustangs) I was behind the s197 and she starts to rev her engine, light turns green and the s197 just raped her bad. I think she learned her lesson.

Still you put someone in a car that's faster than a stationwagon and they immediately think they can beat a Mustang. Because as we all know [wink] they only *look* fast.
I raced one of those on the track at LVMS, he did a 13.5 and it had intake/exhaust and tune. I asked what the dyno numbers of his car was, he said stock they are around 335 to the wheels. I said, thats a lot of loss from 400. With mods it dynoed at 350 and i think they are around 4000 lbs.

Yeah no $h!t, I've been challanged by all kinds of cars,suv,trucks etc but if I know I can take them I dont waste my time.Maybe its cuz I dont have the 5.0 badges on my fox.

that goat looks weeny but its a total bad ass car...i got smoked by one yesterday....prolly just the girl driver in the one you got but nice kill...a win on a car is a win on a car...but gotta be nice to chick racers...i always give em respect...even the ugly ones

the car is a beast...its faster than us all...every speed mag or shop tells me the same thing...stock to stock its beats us everytime...just like we beat the rt charger in every test run...just a fact...truthfully if it didnt look like a suped up neon i would have bought one instead of my s197...maybe with the arrival of that new challenger to fortify the retro trend pontiac will restyle a gto judge...hmmmmm

God, I hope not.... we have enough Retro Rods running around. I would like to see some more defining characteristics that define it as a GTO, but not one that resembles the past.
Note that I like the new GTOs, especially the ones with out the Hood scoops and the rear spoiler removed.

Yeah, she was one of the ugly ones. Come to think of it she was a lil oversize, maybe thats why I beat her, her car is allready heavy and with her in it, that didnt help.

Ya, i don't know bout dem goats, just something about them i don't like. i like the hoods when they have the scoops but thats about it, and their engines nice too. a guy in a black one today kept giving me the look, he was in front of me but i wasn't in the mood to try anything.
