hey
has anyone raced an s2000? i raced one the other night and i had a late start so he was in front. those cars are pretty quick, but right when i was at his front tire he stopped. i know i can beat them but he was the only s2000 that would race me. they run low 14 sec 1/4 miles

my friend has one, its a 2001. when it was still stock and n/a, i raced him a few times. it pretty much depended on who got the better lauch, if he got a launch on me he would win by a half car length to a car lenght. if i got a launch on him, i would beat him by a car. they are very fast in the top end.

The best Mom-lady I could have ever asked for
weak sauce. my friend has a new s2k and he has intake exhaust and chiped and he had an 05 sti before that. so he can drive so none of that its a drivers fault..
I got him by at least 7 cars.

My friend G has a completely stock s2k, he launches at 8500rpms and runs neck and neck with porsche's, gt's, and z28's. He has pulled a high 13 at the track. Not 1 single mod, he just launches the **** outa that car and it hooks.....
Cant do that in a stang, we actually produce torque, haha
I raced an s2000 twice, at Spokane Raceway Park's 1/4 mile track. I beat her bad. She ran a mid 14. I could see her headlights in my rearview so she was well back. An older model Mustang might have been a better race for her but she was definitely faster than the new V6.
Iv raced 1 on teh highway and kept up with him np , it was a seasaw battle but if yea gettem off the line consider them hanging 3 to 5 cars behind yea on a stock 302, the pull is where yea got em.
S2K's aren't to much in a straightline performance race. Sally took one down about a year ago. what a hussie.
autocross might be a different story though.

yeah dont plan on hanging with one in the twisties. i saw a s2k do a road race agains a boxster s, 350z, and a m3. the s2k held 2nd behind the z for the first couple laps because it could slingshot its way out of the corners. the M3 was just to damn powerful for the track and tire setup it was running, but still ended up passing the s2k.
I have a friend who had one and traded it in. He said it was a screamer, but i still think my Mach would have beeten it becuase of the greater HP/Trq eventhough the Mustang weighs a little more, I can't see a 100 hp difference being nullified by a only a couple of hundred pounds. The V8 Mustang is always faster (newer mustangs or modded).
