Shelby would definately get more attention, and Id still feel better. So what they are faster, corvette just means you have too much money and most people who drive them are @$$hole politicians or something, but not all of them,I guess, just being open minded because everyone I know with a corvette is a b@stard pos. One kid around here still lives with his mom and has a brand new C5 she bought him and hes like 25 years old .
Ironic you say that because the gt500 is gonna cost about the same as a z06 with all the markups people are asking. I think you can get a z06 for under 80 right now at some dealerships. I think people will pay close to that for the shelby.

Not all Z06 owners are a$$holes. When my best friend got engaged I told him to buy the one big toy he always wanted because it would be his last chance to do something irrational without justifying it (never married, mid-30s, no kids). So he bought a Z06. I'm a Mustang man to the core but I have to respect the curent 'vette, it can really get up and go. (Don't drive a Z06 two weeks after you buy an S197...your joy will forever will be tainted with thoughts of what mods do I need to match this guy).
And just because a 'vette costs more than a 'Stang doesn't make it less of a car...price only matters to the person who doesn't own the car. My $8K 5.0 outran S197s but that didn't stop me from dropping 35 large to get a S197 myself. Besides the'Vette is a different class of car. The 'Vette is there to kill the high-end Eurotrash on the tracks while the Mustang is there to kill common rice-a-roni and brawl with other Detroit "common muscle" on the streets. But in the end any American muscle is alright by me.

Anyway, it was yellow and pretty much brand new. He missed third and still ran 1 mph faster than me. Gotta love the new Z06's.

If you step back and read your own post, it looks very ignorant. It also sounds as if someone is a bit jealous of Vette owners or those who have money. Number one, don't have to be rich to own a Vette. Brand new, it's only $50K, give or take 5k for options. Some used C6's are going for $40k. I'm not rich. I make a good living but far from being rich. As far as aholes, again, might want to take another look at your statement. Pot...meet kettle.
Yeah im sure that not all of vette owners are @$$holes but the ones that I know are. I personally like outlaw cars, and don't seem to see the vette as an outlaw car more like a pretty boy ride or something, but who cares all in all thats just me.
