I was on my way home from work today, cruising on the highway at about 70, minding my own business. I glanced up in the rear view and noticed an M3 working its way through traffic. The car actually looked pretty good with its graphics and M3 racing decals. As he pulled up next to me in the left lane, he dropped down a gear and revved on me, the exhaust was definately aftermarket. I dropped into 4th and floored it with open highway in front of me. From the start I pulled and never let up. By the time I got to 120, he must have quite as he was bus lengths behind. I slowed back down to 70 and waited for him to catch back up. As he passed, both him and his passanger looked straight ahead, not even glancing my way.

A friend of mine had a 01(I think) M3. Supposedly 330 HP or something stock. I was dissapointed in driving it - Awesome handling, but the go just wasnt there like I thought it would be for the HP it claims to have.

M3s have a different powerband than Stangs. Its a 6, kinda like the powerband of the Nissans 350Z or G35s. They do drive really nice and stable at high speeds, and the motor is so smooth you dont feel it kick. If you ever see one with a "DINAN" badge its probably supercharged, i think to get that badge you have to spend a good amount of $$$ at Dinan performance to sport it. Seen a 97 Dinan M3 with supercharger in the 12s at the track, those only had 260 HP stock.

they are quite disappointing friend of mine had a 200(2?) m3 and it was smooth as ice at 150+ mph but drag racing i could still kill it

Nice kill. :thumbsup I had a guy pull up next to me at a light in a M3 and he called me out, but there was a lot of traffic and I told him that I knew of a spot we could go to but he didnt want to go. I was thinking he was going to beat me, but as I can see theres hope.
