Default Got killed....bad!!

The other day I was sitting at a light and a c5 z06 vette pulled up next to me. I saw that it was a z06.. Anway, he threw a rev so I threw one back and we both just kind of laughed cause it was in good fun. Anyway, when the light turned green we both took off....I had him by a half car length through 1st gear and 2nd gear, but as we hit 3rd gear he came up next to me and gave me the peace sign and just took off like I wasn't even trying to race him! ha ha ha ha....as he pulled away I could see he had aftermarket exhaust and who knows what other mods.

My car pulls like a bat out of hell in 3rd gear so I can just imagine how the vette pulled. Anway, that was the first time I've been really "killed" that bad in the Mach. Usually I'm on the other end of that! ha ha ha....oh well, it was all in good fun.

Looks like you've got a strong car. Stock C5Z06's weigh around 3100lbs and make around 350-360rwhp. It's possible he may have had some mods though to pull you that hard. Long-tubes, intake, tune can put his car in the 380-400rwhp range. Add a cam and/or heads, watch out.

Yeah I have no idea what he had for mods other than exhaust, but he pulled me pretty damn hard. Also, I have no idea how hard he was trying when I had him in 1st and 2nd gear.....so he might have been toying with me a little bit. The only thing I was thinking is that my 3:55 gears gave me a tiny advantage from a dig.

Like lcurle said.....it was all in good fun and I got my butt kicked by a stronger car.

Getting killed is not bad, it just forces you to up the ante by further modding your car.:thumbsup
