We all know how these things start. Someone talks about their car, you talk about yours, they think they're faster, you know you're faster, smack is talked, and the challenge is issued.

I've got a buddy witha '99 Firebird, red in color. He says his is fast. Oh yeah, it's fast... for a 6 cylinder.

So, today, the official challenge was issued. My car versus his. We'll be running them tonight.

What do you think? Does a 6-banger Bird stand a chance against my 8 ponies?

Did you win? I hope so. Why would you even bother though? Go find a Ram Air
and give him a try. Now that is a challange worth attempting. With your mods
you should beat one, or at least keep up until he hits 4th. When I had my '89
GT, I raced a white '97 Camaro 6 spd from a rolling start at about 40 kmh. I
pulled ahead of him and stayed there for a while. he started gaining, caught up and went on passed. Keep in mind this happened over a long stretch of highway, and I was doing about 140 MPH at one point. Also My car was basiclly a stock 5 spd, 2.73 gears, and a few minor mods and in very good repair.

He backed out of the date we had set. I've been giving him flak for it since then. We're bound to race, I know we will. It's just a matter of setting it up for a future race date.

The only way he would have a chance is if he could add a couple of extra cylinders
before the race-(ha ha)

You should have no problems. I smoked a 98 Trans Am v8 and I dont have all the mods you do. You should bet some money.
