That is a sad demonstration on how not to drive buy the guy in the GT500. He spun the tires bad AND I never did hear the supercharger. I bet he was shifting at 4 grand. Put someone in the GT 500 who knows how to drive and that race would be just like the new edge cobra. He no doubt got out of it at the end. No way the neon catches up that quick otherwise. Granted the neon was fast but at 22 psi it will not be long before his engine goes *poof*.
Just last weekend I had my girlfriend take me back to the hospital to pick up her Saturn. I could not drive my car because of leg surgery. Her Saturn is an automatic. We both got caught at a light and I pulled up beside her in the slow lane, rolled down my window and said.. Let's race She said.."Ok" with a big smile on her face. The light turned green and I smoked her off the line. I even got in front of her down the road a bit. My point is she did not know how to drive the car. You can have all the hp in the world but if you do not know how to drive the car you can get taken out by a neon or any other 4 banger. Just my 2 cents worth
tell it like it is big guy....the guy wasn't driving....then again, maybe the car was a rental and it was one big set up to get some publicity for their neon...who knows, but somethings not right. My cousin does show neons and the more money he spends the crappier they are...the car just isn't designed for this stuff. I've driven a neon when I sold cars and the rattle would start at 65 mph...this is definitly not a car that you can set the cruise control on at 100 for a period of time and not expect to have to pay for a new head gasket.

well the way the gt500 took off then it droped back like that i say it was his buddy in the stang and they wanted the crapy import to look good so they were sand bagging the GT500.... could be wrong but thats my take on it...... an as they said the music wont let you hear the GT500 the whole time
the reason you don't hear a supercharger whine is because there is no supercharger. If you read the title bar on the window it says "GT500 Clone (GT w/ body kit) and modded cobra". The first car he races is just a regular old GT, which with mods an srt-4 can beat. The cobra however clearly handed his *** to him and then let off, hell you could see his brake lights in the video, and being the ricer that he is he did a flyby. Observe and Learn.

2.) Your right the video was unclear if the race was over, he might of had a golden mushroom to catch up after falling 5 lengths back and then use his red turtle shell to spin him out .
3.) Yes I drive a 02' v6, the beams of shame raining down on me are to much to bear . How dare I show my face when you paid an extra 5 grand intial cost, an extra $100 month on insurance, and 5 mpg less fuel economy for an extra 2 cylinders which from the look of things your not firing on.

lighter weight, less torque, big turbo lagging, taller gears catches up to a higher torquier car that gets into its powerband faster and is running out of gear in 4th. what do you know about boosted cars?

maybe because i can afford it? insurance is $85/month on each car full coverage ($250 collision and $0 comprehensive. liability limits = 50/100/100.
the '98 Trans Am convertible gets 18-19 city and 26-31.5 mpg highway with an A4, 3.23 gears and minor bolt-ons. best MPG was 31.5 while cruising at 75mph behind a cop in the Nevada desert.

i'm a car enthusiast and not a nut swinger. i respect all fast cars, especially a 4-banger that puts down 500 WHP.
up to 2004, all late Mustangs were built on 1978 Ford Fairmont platforms. there's nothing ledgendary about that.
There's plenty legendary about a platform lasting 27 years. It speaks wonders about how well designed the platform was that it made it that long.
