Default First track night for the GT

Made my first and only pass of the night in the 05. Went down to Cecil County Dragway in MD last Friday night after work in the unseasonably warm and beautiful weather. I spoke with a few other guys that all had 06-07 Tungsten GT's and the fellow I squared off against in a 5.0 fox LX. As for my time, a little disappointing... I managed a 13.9 at 100.4 and the fellow in the LX had a respectable 15.3 at 90.9, bone stock. Now I have no real performance mods, but one of the fellow stangers with a Tungsten five speed managed 13.5 on the same track. He was also stock. My downfall was getting loose and finding that wheel-hop everyone talks about on the 1st to 2nd shift. Even still, I stayed away from the 14's... barely, and I also managed 3 digits on the trap speed. It was too crowded for a second run, but after the warranty runs out and I add a few mods I'll be back. I'll probably short-shift the 1-2 as well. Feel free to hit me with some feedback or comparisons please!

get a sct 2 tuner and a cai not just the drop in then go back that wont hurt your warranty!that should get you atleast a 13.5 if you ran a 13.9 with your mods anyone else agree?

Not too shabby! Add a CAI, tune, LCAs, and some sticky tires and you'll shave a good 1/2 second or more off that time. Add some 4.10s and you'll do even better.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I'll have to try some of those suggestions. I'm thinking shifter too, quicken up those throws a bit!
