So I just got my car in December. It's had issues on and off (123k miles) and I've finally gotten the bugs worked out and it runs quicker than anything I've ever been in (so.. I haven't been around nice cars that often.)
Anyways.. so I'm at a stoplight, sitting there just waiting, and a Talon TSi rolls up next to me and revs. I didn't look and he revs again, I look over and laughed at him. He looked at me and let me know I was #1 in his book and I waved back. So then he hit his rev limiter. At this point I saw the light about to change and I revved once and he staged his car. Light turns green and I jumped about a car length ahead of him and never looked back, got to the next light and he made a right instead of staying on the road.
I just thought it was funny.
My mods:
FRPP 4.10 Gears
BBK Shorties with Hi-Flow Cat X-Pipe (New Bosch O2s)
Magnapack Cat-back
C&L Cold Air Intake w/ 76mm MAF
Aeromotive FPR
BBK 225 lph Fuel Pump
I don't even have that much done but the car puts down over 300 lbs/ft of torque at the wheels already. Have more parts sitting in the garage, just been waiting for the weather to get a bit better.
If you all you have done to your car is what you listed, your not making any where near 300 lbs/ft at the wheels though. Where are you getting this info from?

Dynojet Inground Dyno. To be honest tho it was also friggid cold. Air temp was around 15 degrees. It made 284 with the cat-back and air intake.
Might be a bit off, but that was what the dyno sheet told me.
So then it was 284 and not the over 300 you originally quoted?
I've dynoed it after almost every mod.
Stock it made 176 HP and 263 lbs/ft.
CAI / Catback it made 206 HP and 284 lbs/ft.
Shorty Headers w/ Xpipe (Hi Flow Cats) it made 217 HP and 302 lbs/ft.
It was running lean the entire time up until the O2s were replaced. All runs were made in sub 40F weather with the last one made on a sub-freezing temperature night.
Way to represent the Stangs of NOVA!!! Where do you do your dyno runs at?
Pro-Motion on Route 17 in Stafford.
It'll go back on in April/May (depending on funds) with Steeda Pullies, GT40 Intake, 70mm TB, and 1.7 Rockers.
Then it'll go back in Mid-Summer with a 125 shot from a Zex Wet Kit.
Plans are already laid out for a DSS 331 Stroker so I'm not touching anything I can't bolt back on to a new motor (Except the Rockers.. and that's only because I want to break 250 whp NA w/o a Head Swap).
cnumartyr, next time you go back to that dyno you may want to ask some questions regarding how its set up. That rear wheel 300lbs/ft seems pretty high. The reason I'm telling you this is because that number is very close to mine and several other's here with cars with the same basic setup as what you see in my signature.

Could be, I'll get it on a different dyno in March if I can.
Yeah, all things being equal your stick will def get you a few ponies to the wheels than an auto. But it wont be enough to make up for a lack of H/C/I. When you get yours done, you'll see and feel it.
