member of VMF for years, viewed AFM for a couple years and now just getting involved. Owned Mustangs since 1968.
My current Mustang is a 1968 coupe, built in San Jose in June. The original owner purchased the car when she was 65 year old and owned it until she died in 2001. Her daughter sold it to a car collector not far from where she lived in Menlo Park CA. The car collection, however, kept it less thsn two years , selling it to finance a '68 fastback with 18,000 miles. I bought the coupe when it had 11,475 miles on it in 2003. In the ten years of ownership I managed to drive it about 400 miles. It is still unrestored, as an original or survivor depending on how you wish to define it. I have heard differing definitions for the terms through the years. The car retaining just about all its factory parts and all but one rear quarter is original paint, the original owner had scratched it up and was repainted prior to my ownership. if you would like to see anything specific to aid in your rstoration, please contact me.
