    About Me
I'm a writer, gearhead, and computer nerd all rolled into one.
    Mustang Rides
1967 Mercury Cougar XR-7 named Veronica

She came from the factory as a C-code 289 2v with C4 automatic transmission, power steering, power drum brakes and 2.79 rear gears.

    Mods:

    Shelby drop
    600# springs
    1" swaybar up front
    KYB shocks
Granada spindles and front disk brakes
Electric headlight door actuators (good riddance, leaky vacuum junk!)
'69 Eliminator hood scoop and wing
    Dual 2.25" exhaust with X-pipe

1989 5.0 HO motor bored .030, with an Autolite 4100 1.12 (C5SF) carburetor, serpentine belts, and reverse-rotation clutch fan

I plan to set her up as a true Grand Tourer - built for the open road. Comfortable, quiet, fast, with respectable handling, but not made for full-on racing. I'm shooting for 300-350 flywheel horsepower, with the intent of driving her every day and putting a lot of miles on her out on flat, straight wide-open Kansas highways.

    Future modes hopefully include:
    AFR 165 heads
3.50 rear gears with PowerTrax limited slip
    4r70W 4-speed automatic with overdrive
    Dougs Tri-Y headers
