About Me
I am married to a wonderful Delta flight attendant. We travel all over the world. Met on EHarmony, it really works. I love to stay busy, building, creating, inventing or customizing my cars.
Mustang Rides
My first Mustang was a 1983GT White HB with red interior. First time I test drove it I was afraid of how fast it was. I had to have it. Fun Fun car!
Sold it to buy a 1987GT white HB with red interior. Never test drove it just knew I had to have it. I drove it for 20 years and put 260,000 miles on it. I know everything there is to know about that car. Took gold in every car show I ever entered with that car. I took the car apart at 150K miles and had it repainted oxford white with a flip-flop red pearl paint that made the white appear shinier and brighter. Only in certain light would you see the pearl finish glisten. I rebuilt the engine myself and added a few power adders as well. I estimated about 285HP when finished. Lots of great memories with that car. No emissions, no cats, Cobra intake, roller rockers, alum driveshaft, Tremec Tranny, Pro 5.0 shifter, subframes, King Cobra clutch. Sold it for $6K just a couple years ago.
I also owned a 67 coupe, 6 cylinder, white, of course. No frills just a good car in pretty good shape. I enjoyed working on it. Sold it to a guy named, not kidding, Richard Head.
I also owned a 94GT Convertible. It was the opposite of all my other Mustangs. Red with a white interior, automatic. Beautiful car. White top and a white dash.
I now own a 2006 GT convertible. It also is red with parchment interior and top. I love the retro look of the new Stangs. It was tough choosing between coupe and convertible but I live in Atlanta and I get plenty of top down type days. I love customizing my own cars and I can't rationalize customizing a specialty Stang so I chose the GT. I have created a tribute to the GT 350's of Mustang lore. I did all the work myself. I have added white stripes, a CDC Agressive chin spoiler, Shelby type grill, chrome trim rinngs on the driving lights, blackout rear panel with GT 350 emblem and side rocker stripes. I added the Roush hood scoop and Flowmaster mufflers. Engine mods are both cosmetic and performance mods. BBK throttle body, JLT CAI and SCT tuner are the perf mods. Midwest Autogear everything under the hood painted to complement the rest of the car, strut tower chrome caps and hood lift struts complete the cosmetic mods. This engine bay is magnificent and shows really well. I want to add pulleys next. Other cosmetic mods are aluminum fuel filler door, billet shorty antenna and billet throughout the interior. White face gauges are next. I have always liked them but
