51 yr old guy. my first car was a 65 box top, then got a 67 box top, smashed it twice then got the 67 fastback. after 20+ yrs i still miss that car. i worked for jack roush in livonia mich for 5 or 6 yrs doing building maintenance back when he was just getting going good and before he was into nascar racing.he was making some ac cobras that were to die for. nice guy jack. his buildings, people and workmanship and products are top notch. it was cool to see all the operations like the engines from the build dept go onto the dynos. that was years ago i`m sure things have really changed. did the constuction scene for years and finaly while laid off one winter decided to move to the ozarks down in s.w. missouri. the culture shock didnt hit me till i started looking for work here. sure do miss michigan fishing and hunting. i`m still a detroit sports fan and get all the red wing games on dish network center ice. my mom and dad died a year ago and i havent been back there to visit, but need to. ive got 2 sisters and 2 daughters and 1 grandson in mich. hope he gets into tools cause ive got a fortune in tools to leave behind some day.
Hey man, I had a series of questions for you, by looking at your profile you seem to know quite a bit if i were to guess. You replied to my question about the JLT intake and whether or not i should get a tune. Well, all in all, i dont know very much about cars, or mustangs, and this is my first car i have owned. Im 21 and just recently returned from Iraq, and purchsed a 2007 V6 as my first car lol. So i was woundering if you could help me out a little with the Intake. I Purchased a JLT intake, and all i need is a tune. Well, i dont have a tuner, so i tried to call around to auto shops that sell SCT or Diablo sports tuners. None had any in stock for my car, and wanted to charge well over a grand to get the intake put in (i know i can do that myself it is so simple) and to get a tune on it. That is truely insane! So my questions would be, where should i order a tuner from online? On top of that, what exactly do i order and when i get it, what the hell do i do?! I am new to this and no one has been able to give me a strait answer about getting this done right. If you could help guide me along in this process i would be very appreciative, or maybe if you know some one who can. Thank you very much!!!
