    About Me
Retired writer and editor. Have owned a ton of high performance and now-classic cars over the years since the 50's. Raced in club hillclimbs and 1/4 mile events. Not a risky street racer...lost a great friend doing that 40 years ago. Live in Middletown, NY. My 2001 GT is Mineral Gray over black leather with 60K miles. It's in pristine condition. I'm a fisherman, canoeist and kayaker, photographer, and a rockin' Mustang fan. I got the Mustang bug back in the 60's when the TransAm races were held at Watkins Glen--that was the place to go to see hot Mustangs and Camaros. Glad to be aboard. I hope to make some good friends here. Dave NICEHOSS

    Mustang Rides
Super-clean 2001 Mustang GT in Mineral Gray over black leather. Mild bolt-ons only, with a few more to follow soon. The new 18"x9"and 18"x10" chrome Saleen-style five spoke wheels I just bought look terrific on any Mustang. In the front, they're wrapped in Bridgestone Potenzas (SO-3 Pole Position) 245/40x18 and in the rear 265/40x18 BGF T/A KD's--for traction and handling. There's also a polished billet B&M Hammershifter, a BBK chrome fenderwell CAI, full Magnaflow catback with BBK X-Pipe and high-flow cats, H&R sport springs, AGX adjustable struts and shocks, Steeda underdrive pulleys, Accufab 70mm throttle body and plenum, Silverstars, high-output American Muscle Fog lamps (for old eyes), an Optima Red Top battery, red OBX silicone hoses, Luminics bullbs all around, and rear louvers. Ford Racing gears and ceramic shorties are next. I actually think I'm close to done, so please humor me. Maybe I'll add some Roush front and back panels for good measure!!!!! That neat Meziere elecric water pump will add 8HP! And a 13" Big Brake Kit from Baer courtesy of Amp Performance would be terrific! Ohhhhhh...my fever just kicked in again!!

      Hi Dave!

Hope all is well with you - it it so great to hear from you! Not much new on this end... thankfully LOL!

Are you enjoying your beauty now that winter has broken? We've had some spectacular days here - and I have been enjoying every minute... Work has slowed down a bit, so I take a little longer lunch and bring her out for some fun! The pony is going in tomorrow for a few things, I'll surely miss her while she's at the dealer... I can only hope they have her back quickly!

Thank you for the compliments on my ride - yours is quite the beauty... I would love to add another one, just have to talk the husband into it... LOL

      Have a beautiful weekend!
      Stay in touch!

      Hey Fellas:
I have a very nice 2001 Mustang GT in Mineral Gray that needs a little more stomp added to it. It's basically stock with an upgraded exhaust, 18" Saleen-style wheels, H&R springs, KYB AGX adjustable struts & shocks, BBK fenderwell cold air, Accufab 70mm TB and Plenum, and Steeda underdrive pulleys. I want to take the next step: long tube headers; big brakes; and what else? Any help is very much appreciated. Oh...this baby is an AODE (I can hear the groans now). Thanks for your help. Dave R.

It's basically stock with upgraded exhaust, 18" Saleen-style wheels, H&R springs, KYB AGX adjustable struts & shocks, and K&N air. Want to take the next step: Accufab throttle body/plenum; full Bassani or Magaflow; X-pipe; long tube headers; pulleys; gears. I need well researched recommendations and a couple of shops to consider that are within easy distance of Middletown, NY. Any help is very much appreciated. Oh...this baby is an AODE (I can hear the groans now). Thanks for your help. Dave R.
