my car is a 1991 gt 5.0 with slight mods, ok i ordered a new clutch kit for my car and installed the new kit and lowered the car to the ground and tried to start it and it will just crank and not start running.i have had this car for 10 yrs now and thought i new it in and out but any way.so i lifted it back up and checked everything again and checked the ground and all is ok. so i sat the car back on the ground and tried it again and nothing.i did notice that the fuel pump is running but it will not shut off unless the key is off.turn the key forward and the pump starts running but won't stop. so i replaced the regulator and the relay under the seat .with the new one installed the pump will not turn on at all. put the old one back in and it runs but won't stop? didn't help,checked the fireing, coil is good fire to plugs are good ,replaced the ecc relay and the fuel pump relay nothing,checked for damaged fuse links and burnt wires nothing,took computer out of car and checked it
looks good from what i can tell.when i let the car sit for a while and tried to start it i will fire up for like 3 seconds then quit,took a distributor from another car put in didn't help.if i spray starting fluid in the car it runs and sounds like it always did soon as i quit spraying it it dies.i think the injectors are not working because the fuel is being put up there i bought a fuel pressure guage and it shows 42 pounds on the schrader valve. the fuel is flowing threw the car when the pump is running and it don't build up pressure and shut off.now when i dropped the
trans tremec 5spd i didn't disconnect the battery and didn't relize this until i had tried to start it . has been sitting for about 1 month and im stopped here.i may have fried the computer when i took the starter out and the battery was hooked up.got in a hurry and forgot to unhook the battery.still nothing i have had like 6 guys around here that has foxbodys and everyone just shakes there heads no one can figure it out.
