Former college and NFL jock (not a name that is exactly a household word, however). Grew up in Edmonds, WA, but have been in Florida long enough to qualify as a native. My background includes hydroplane and, more recently, sports car racing. Got rid of my motorcycle a few months ago figuring that after 7 years of shiny side up, rubber side down here riding amongst the blue hairs in Florida, the odds were starting to go against me. I picked up a 65 Mustang convertible which will be a work in progress for some time now.
Mustang Rides
In college, I was the proud owner of a 1964 1/2 Mustang - Prarrie Bronze in color, 260 V-8, and wish I still had it. Along the path of life also had at 67 GT350 and now have a 65 convertible. It is a perfect 20-10 car (from 20 feet away, looks like an absolute 10.....closer you get the more pimples you notice.) I rebuilt the engine (289) and added front disk brakes so I no longer have to plan my stops 3 blocks in advance. Just finished rebuilding the leak-fest power steering control valve and slave cylinder.
