Happy New Year to you too!
The Rapido sounds pretty cool. Where I am it's definitely that time of year to be working on the trains instead of the car. I've been working on a Mantua steam kit, it will be the first steam engine I have. Even though my era is diesel I figured I could always have a few steam for excursion type trains. This is taking longer than I thought to build but it's coming along, there's alot of filing and fitting parts. It's been my main project the 2 weeks I've had off over Xmas and New Years break.

Hi,
It's neat to find someone else into trains on this forum. I have a 13' x 9' L shaped HO layout in my basement.
I started with trains when my parents bought me Lionel back in the late 70s-early 80s. I still collect some O scale Lionel, MTH, and Williams and have a small layout for it that goes under the tree at Xmas. O scale is just too expensive for me to do a large layout with it though.
I have quite a bit of N scale that I started to do a layout with before changing my mind and going with the HO. Someday in the future I may unpack some of it and do a small coffee table layout or something.
Lastly I have 3 pieces of G scale ( a RS-3 and two 40' boxcars ) that I use as display pieces on a shelf above my TV. I have never run the RS and have no current plans on doing any layout with the G scale.

Nice profile page. I'm a train nut myself.
