    The eternal optimist of the group!

    I love to Drag Race. For me its almost a microcosm of life itself.

    It is a microcosm for how you choose to live life...whether it is at wide open throttle or on cruise control. Who really wants to live their life on cruise control, a passenger along for the ride? You only get to live it once and sometimes you just need to open it up and hold on.

    It is a microcosm for the very illusion of control. In that car at those speeds if you think you’re in control you’re sadly mistaken. If you think you really control that car your lying to yourself, apply all the skill and ability you want, sometimes when the car decides to get loose....it gets loose. Nothing you can do about it. Do you really think you have anymore control over your life?

    I drag race because it reminds me that life is to be lived...not just survived, because no one gets out a live. I do it because it reminds me that control is but an illusion that we perpetrate upon ourselves...no one knows what’s around the corner. However, isn’t that how it’s meant to be?

    So I continue to search for that perfect pass down the track "when the seas roar and the mountains crumble", when everything comes together!

    It'll happen, just as it does in life.

      it great to have a another "real" racer among us
      i have been watching your post on your car it's really impressive....
      also i'm trying to develop the drag section into more than "can my v6 stang beat my neighbors cobalt"

      so any input in the drag race section will be greatly appreciated
