Forgot to mention that for the converter swap it was $580 done by one of the local tuners.
And I supplied the oil and converter.

First off thanks for the compliments on the car, Our neighborhood is pretty laid back, I'm probably the youngest one on our block.
My mother-in-law is my next door neighbor and she hates me anyway so sometimes I just try to piss her off.

As far as the torque converter, I don't see any problem for a daily driver at all. If you changed the gears in your car the difference you felt with the gears is about the same you would with the converter.
From a stop with the stock tires you can't take off too hard because all you get is wheel spin. anything under 25-30 MPH it spins like crazy even with the traction control turned on.
If your friend is using the Nova for a daily driver he shouldn't have any problems except for having to but tires a little more often than usual.

Dude, how do you like your tq converter?? Is it a bit** on a daily driver?? can you tell the diff from taking off at a light?? Reason why im asking is, well i dont have one- and my bestfriend is in the army and he's buying a 72 Nova, its got all the goodies- and its got a Tq Converter, and i didnt know if it was something good for a DD.. plus he's got 4.11's.. so should he step it down to 3.73's? Also, is it possible for him to remove the tq converter? if so, how much u think, can u give me a ballpark estimate? Money isnt a real issue but its the fact that it might not be worth buying and returning the tq converter to stock.. well if u can help me out- id really appreciate it man!
