My father and I are trying to fit in the door, in my 65 mustang coupe, and we are having difficulties getting the gaps correct. The main problem is when we try to match up the latch, it gives us a huge gap between the bottom of the door and the rocker pannel. The rear quarter pannel sticks up quite a ways on the half window ledge. Is there a specific measurement from the inner part to the outer part that we should go by (outside sticks up farther than inside)? Do you have any advice for us? Would it be smart for us to move the latch? Thank You
