    Pat,

Thanks for the offer. I took off today from working on the car. Instead I ran errands which involves driving an hour to Bakersfield. I bought bolts and dropped my locks off at a lock smith (the door and ignition keys will match). I also have tons of parts in transit. My next task is a total rewiring. I'll start that tomorrow.

Keep me posted about your project. I like that stuff. I don't know how I could assist you, but if I can please ask. My direct email is steveswelding@ca.rr.com.

    Steve,

Not a problem. I can take pictures of area you need, although my front clip is almost completely off. I have a lot of pictures of it pre-disassembly on the MySpace page in my signature. You don't have to have a MySpace account to view it.

In case you need it, my "real" email is nuke-em@sbcglobal.net

Let me now if I can help.

    Patrick,

I got my car out of the paint shop Friday, and for the last three days I've been putting it together. I've made three parts orders in three days. As I go through the boxes of parts, I found that not all can be cleaned, painted and replaced. I've also found that not all parts were included.

If you don't mind, I may have questions about parts that my parts manuals and restoration book can't solve. I found more information on 65/66 than 67/68. The 67 & 68 are pretty close in application. Would you mind helping if such a question came up? I don't know what that would be, but today I spent a lot of time figuring out the grille on this car (or the one suppose to be on the car.

Thanks! Yeah, I am going to re-do it in the same color, it's 1983 Kenworth Yellow. Just sat down with a paint book back in '88 and that's the one that jumped out at me and I still love it. I always say you should paint a hot rod a color that makes people look!

Your 68 looks great for sitting outside for so long. Are you going to keep it yellow?
