My Dream Mustang
2008 Italian concept with 500 hp blown motor
About Me
I have always loved horsepower, bi it cars, bikes or boats. My 15 1/2 yr old son just came to live with my new wife and I in Aug, '06. He loves cars and guitars, fortunately I played music in bands for 20 years and am more of a horsepower freak than him. I get frustrated with him a lot because if his head was not attached to his shoulders he would leave it somewhere.
He's a good kid and makes my life joyfully hellish....I sneaked him into the pits at the dragstrip and let him make his first run (with me in the car) Feb,5 2007. He killed an LS1 Firebird.
I've missed a lot not having him for the past 11 years, but I am making up ground fast! By the way, it was totally his decision to come live with me.
Out of the blue he called me at work one Thusday morning and told me to come get him and his belongings. I called his mom (who was always a *****) and she told me that he said, "I'm 15 and I know that I can live with my dad if I want to, and , dad can come get me, or as soon as you (his mother) leave for work I will start hitchhiking to dad's) you gotta love a kid with spunk.......lol
Mustang Rides
1964 1/2 Mustang 225 hp 289 CID : My first car, my cousin had heard that I was looking for a cheap car. Her jusband was in the army and in Germany. Without his knowledge she sold it to me for $500. HE freaked when she told him what she did. I got it in May of 1974 and my dad loaned me the $500 to purchase it with. I worked that summer at a little gas station down the street to pay it off.
1994 Mustang V-6 convertible: 20 years later I saw this car in a Tom Thumb Parking lot. It had hit another car in the rear end. I paid $600 for it and spent another $1600 to get the hood and have it painted, light assemblies. TO replace the airbags would have been $1500, thats where I decided that I would sell it and get another Mustang. I drove for a year and sold it for $2500.
2001 Mustang V-6 with 5 speed manual tranny: I bought this car in 2004. THis was the first late model 6 cylinder that I had ever driven, I bought it on the spot. I could not believe that a V-6 would run like it did. I could smoke the crap out of the back tire, with no problem at all.
I totaled it in Mar 05. I tried to get out of the Mustang era so I bought a 2002 taurus.
2005 Mustang GT with 10k miles: I bought my son a 1995 Mustang V-6, 3 days ago, it didn't take long to get the 'Stang bug again. So yesterday 12/09/06 I bought the GT. I still may take it back and get an '07 V-6 because of the way the new V-6's run. THis is the first GT that I had ever driven and was blown away that they run as good as my '65 ran........I will probably keep the 05
