Ford VINdate software. Mexican version?

Hello all,
my name is Kevin, and I am looking for a bit of help.
A little while ago, my friend Andrew Day, and I finshed and posted for download
an Australian version Ford VIN date decoder program.
The early Mexican VIN date is the same till 1978 I think then it is a bit different. I can change the program to suit the Mexican date system, but I am hopeless at spanish.
I am looking for a volunteer to tell us what the words should be on the programs windows. Sure I have a spanish dictionary to help but I don't understand the syntax.
Anyway have a look at the Aussie Ford VIN date decoder software and bits at.....

http://vk3ukf.freewebsitehosting.com/Fordindex.html

Any help will speed the Mexican Ford VIN date decoders completion.

Thanks.

Thank you for your reply Robert, your help will be appreciated by a lot of folks.

I have included what my Spanish dictionary tells me also, if it is incorrect, please correct me.

1. Mexican Ford VIN Number Date Only Decoder V 1.00 -

Lets try this lot for starters Robert, If it meets your approval I shall write up a Mexican version of About and Help and place it for download in a little over a week hopefully, I am moving house at this time.
Is it alright to include your name in the credits of the program as the Spanish Language translator?
Cheers for now and thank you again.

Dear Robert,
my apologies for the delay in doing this, I've been moving house from central Victoria closer to Melbourne. Still not finished yet.

The program ( MexVINdate1.exe ) as it stands so far is available at the same place as the other software, the Ford Decoding page...

http://vk3ukf.freewebsitehosting.com/Fordindex.html

I have done the Mexican Spanish bits that we have already talked about also those that I forgot and hadn't checked with you,
a couple of bits may be wtrong again as I used the internet babel fish translator.
I have done the date codes also... but...
Possible problem....
The Mexican dates system seems to be identical to the Aussie dates apart from the years 1979, 1980 and 1981.
1965 to 1978 are the same.
but.....
Australian year 1978 = U Mexican year 1978 = U
Australian year 1979 = W Mexican year 1979 = V
Australian year 1980 = X Mexican year 1980 = W
Australian year 1981 = y Mexican year 1981 = Z ? I am assuming this should be a Z just to be different from the other
mob (us over here).

We really need some help from you now Robert, as you can see, The South of the Border Mustang site does not allow for
dates after 1980.

Is it possible to find out what the Mexican version is for these couple of years for the sequence. I also am going to assume that
your date system will remain as everyone else's after that date.
logical.
We now need to know..
Mexican date codes for years 1979, 1980, 1981, 1982,.
once we know that I believe the rest will fall into line.

The help page and the about page will also need to be re-written maybe and translating at the least. Can you please have a look at
these as well.
Not all that much now, but it is important little bits at the end that usually take the most time to do.
Like I just noticed that on different machines the fonts aren't the same and a bit was missing off either end of some messages on
buttons or labels. and so on. (I just fixed it then.)

If you have any questions Robert, please e-mail me directly on one of the following e-mails....

forddecoding@hotmail.com
or
vk3ukf@hotmail.com

Cheers for now Robert

P.S.

To download the test version of MexVINdate1.exe just go to the Ford Decoding site in the post above and click on any of the download links for the programs, they all go to the same page which is a storage site.
MexVINdate1.exe is there with the others.

Cheers

Hello Robert,
another question for you if I may?
What is the correct colour scheme for the Mexican flag these days?
I found two versions and they are listed as the Mexican flag.
One is earlier, seems to be correct colours on the central emblem.
The other, the central emblem is all gold.
Which is the correct one for today?
Thanks, Kevin and Andrew (no idea, we're over here) lol

Tested the Mexican DATE decoder, and there are some bad translations.

If i insert a bad date code, the RED message should say:
"Codigo VIN de la fecha erroneo"

if the code is ok it should say:
"Codigo VIN de la fecha correcto"

Now. at the right side of the decoder you have a label that says "El Esperar" it has to say "esperando" (waiting) or maybe leave it blank.

Ah..and thanks for the credits

Hi Robert,
thanks for that.
I am going to make those changes a an hour or two or 3 from now and post the updated MexVINdate1a.exe at Sharemation and update the Ford Decoding page to indicate that if anyone is toying with it, they should delete the first one and upload the new version.

I try and pop in the flag bit too, see what you think.
I'll pop back here and let you know when that has been done.

Cheers mate, Kevin and Andrew.
