Dear Robert,
my apologies for the delay in doing this, I've been moving house from central Victoria closer to Melbourne. Still not finished yet.
The program ( MexVINdate1.exe ) as it stands so far is available at the same place as the other software, the Ford Decoding page...
http://vk3ukf.freewebsitehosting.com/Fordindex.html
I have done the Mexican Spanish bits that we have already talked about also those that I forgot and hadn't checked with you,
a couple of bits may be wtrong again as I used the internet babel fish translator.
I have done the date codes also... but...
Possible problem....
The Mexican dates system seems to be identical to the Aussie dates apart from the years 1979, 1980 and 1981.
1965 to 1978 are the same.
but.....
Australian year 1978 = U Mexican year 1978 = U
Australian year 1979 = W Mexican year 1979 = V
Australian year 1980 = X Mexican year 1980 = W
Australian year 1981 = y Mexican year 1981 = Z ? I am assuming this should be a Z just to be different from the other
mob (us over here).
We really need some help from you now Robert, as you can see, The South of the Border Mustang site does not allow for
dates after 1980.
Is it possible to find out what the Mexican version is for these couple of years for the sequence. I also am going to assume that
your date system will remain as everyone else's after that date.
logical.
We now need to know..
Mexican date codes for years 1979, 1980, 1981, 1982,.
once we know that I believe the rest will fall into line.
The help page and the about page will also need to be re-written maybe and translating at the least. Can you please have a look at
these as well.
Not all that much now, but it is important little bits at the end that usually take the most time to do.
Like I just noticed that on different machines the fonts aren't the same and a bit was missing off either end of some messages on
buttons or labels. and so on. (I just fixed it then.)
If you have any questions Robert, please e-mail me directly on one of the following e-mails....

Cheers for now Robert
