No, it's a sanctioned event put on by the Middle Penninsula Classic Cruisers.
However, don't do anything foolish when leaving. Sometimes they sit and wait on the corner.

The cruise-in is Fridays starting at 6 PM and running until about 8:30. It costs a dollar donation. There are quite a few cars at the Gloucester show, although probably not as many as the Bass Pro Shops cruise-in, but it's a lot closer.

I've only been once so far, but I thought that particular night was smaller than normal turnout. I always enjoy the vintage muscle more than the newer cars (that night had more of the latter).
If it would ever cool down I want to check out the Gloucester cruise-in. I've also heard about a large cruise-in at HR Harley Davidson in Yorktown. If I get a chance I'll take some pictures and post them up. Be safe out there!

Actually, it's been a rather quiet start to the car show season around here. I've been to a few cruise-ins (not at Bass Pro, though) and a few shows, but the weather's been kinda funny here. We went from too cold to do anything, to heat wave. No spring whatsoever. Oh, well. I do this for fun.

The HD show up in Yorktown is usually pretty good. Of course, it's for 1973 and older cars but there are some nice ones out there.
I'll definitely be game to head up to Gloucester on a Friday night.
