Congratulations on your dream car and welcome. There are some guys in the DC area that will chime in.

Welcome to AFM!!! Congrats on your dream car and you couldn't have picked a better color. Looks real sharp.

Sorry I haven't been around much lately, but I've been very busy. The Mustang had to go into the shop too. Whenever my door was opened, key not in the ignition, lights not on, the car would chime something obnoxious. Turns out that the ignition switch was bad, so that needed to be replaced. I still have 4 months left on the warranty, so it was covered. And obviously, anything that goes wrong, no matter how small, between now and then, will be fixed at Ford's expense.

I won't be able to make it up to New Town this weekend, but I plan on heading up there the 20th of Sept. I actually got a New Town newsletter/brochure and they are doing the car show/cruise-in through the month of Sept. It also had a few pictures, one was a line of some sweet Mustangs.

I wondered where you've been! Glad to here you got your baby fixed...especially under warranty! I won't be able to make New Town on the 20th. A group of us from the local club are heading down to a show in North Carolina outside of Elizabeth City.

Hasn't been announced yet. It will probably be at the Lowe's parking lot at PowerPlant in Hampton and the time will be early! I'll post here as soon as I find out.

We're having our local club picnic there this weekend and if the weather is nice we will be displaying our stangs but it's not a show.

That's what I meant. Being that there is nothing remotely like that in the small town where I live, 3 cars with their hoods up in a row is considered a show...lol.

I signed up on the website for PME but I don't know what I need to do from there do I need to send them some form of dues or what?

LOL! It'll be a show then for ya! The go kart driving should be a blast too. I sent you a PM about the club dues.

I really enjoy the local club I'm in. Myltlpny is a member as well and I think miamiknsfan just joined too. I sent you a PM with some info.

Belonging to a club really enhances the car ownership. I live in the sticks and getting to meetings can be tough, but I do my best to support the club's functions. I'm hoping that now my new office is completed (YAAAAAAY), I'll have more time to go to club meetings.

While I'm a member of the Peninsula Mustang Enthusiasts in Hampton, you have your choice of either the Mustang Club of Tidewater or the Southeast Virginia Mustang Club. Both are good clubs. I also belong to the Mustang Club of Tidewater (which reminds me, I need to send in my dues). They put on good shows and are active philanthropically.

Welcome to AFM! I'm a PME member as well. I've been to a SEVMC show and rode with them in the Veteran's Day Parade last November. They're a good group of guys. Of course if you didn't mind the drive, we'd love to have you in PME too!
