I haven't made the past couple years but am planning on going this yr. I'll probably have a few of the SOMD club with me but would love to meet up with fellow AFM members in the local area.

May will be a tough month for me to take a vacation. For me it may end up being a decision made within 2-3 weeks before. Maybe even just a day trip... maybe.

05sbgt, congrats on SOMD Mustangs doing the car show / fundraiser for the food bank in LaPlata

. I work with Catholic Charities but I couldn't make it to the car show, hopefully next time will be different.

always go to wildwood but the cops are cracking down hard so i think im goin to try oc this year... anyone have dates and whats a good place to stay??? thanks

All the details on when and where are in the oc stangs link in my opening post. Where to stay? I'm trying to figure that out, too. Everytime I've been to oc I've stayed down around 9th Street but I wanna be right there with the stangs show this time so I can get plastered and not have to take a cab!

If a hotel recommendation or event dates and times are needed check out www.specialeventpro.com for all gearhead activities in OC for 2009. Also check out the OC STANGS web page (see first post in this thread). IMO This year won't be as crowded as years past. However you should not wait till the last minute to book your stay. As for the cop situation, it's true they are lax but only to a point. Aside from reckless driving, and speeding/racing, the most ticketed offense is for doing burnouts. Yes the ticket is only for $50 but if you do damage to the asphalt expect to pay alot more. As always Don't Drink and Drive. Please watch out for pedestrians and I'll see you all at the Inlet Parking Lot, Castaways, 45th Street, and all over the 10 Mile stretch.
