Jen, I'm just on the other side of the Coleman Bridge from you in Gloucester. I would recommend the Penninsula Mustang Enthusiast club: Peninsula Mustang Enthusiast (I don't belong to them, but I'm thinking of joining) or the Mustang Club of Tidewater: Mustang Club of Tidewater (of which I am a member).
They are both good groups and can put you in touch with other Mustang enthusiasts, or at the very least give you some direction on repairs.
Welcome to the area, and welcome to the forums.

OK, so I've added a few things to it. Check my Profile - too many to list here.
What's up guys? I am in Hampton. I have a 2006 Torch Red GT that's my baby, and I am currently restoring a 68 coupe.....I enjoy working on my cars (drinkin beer while doing so) and hanging out... Bass Pro Shops usually has a free car show on Saturday evenings...like to hang out there, however I believe they are done for the season (too cold). Give me a shout, if I can be of assistance....Gordon
By the way, I need to pull the engine from my 68 so I can do the restoration work to the engine compartment....If anyone in the area (Hampton Roads) has an engine crane and or an engine stand that they would be willing to loan out, I would be greatful!!!!!!
Jen, I'm in the local area and I'm a member of the Peninsula Mustang Enthusiasts that myltlpny mentions. We can always use more blue mustangs in the club. We have a friendly little battle with the red ones! Maybe Gordon can help them out! If you want some more info on us, let me know.

Well I can not be biased because my '68 is blue and my 06 is red...Haaaa. I met some of your PME guys this past summer at Bass Pro, and I was going to try to get up to the picnic at Wynne Ford, however I ended up having a double hernia surgery the week before (OUCH), so I kinda fell out of touch...excuses excuses... Still interrested though!!! The guy I talked to had a red GT with a nasty sounding supercharger on it, and a 2 or 3 inch cowl hood from Cervinis...cant remember his name.
Well it sounds like you recovered well from the surgery if you are back to working on the mustang. PME meets at Wynne Ford on the last Thursday of the month at 7PM. We always welcome more members!
