Our nightmist blue with white lemans stripes 67 fastback was stolen from a mustang restoration shop in Glendale AZ over the weekend. No fault of the shop owner - someone broke in, apparently hotwired the car and drove off. It was the only car stolen from his shop/lot.

It had a 302 engine (new) 350 posi rear end (new), edelbrock headers (I think - that was hubby's department) (new), new front seats (black).

If you are contacted by someone wanting that you suspect may have come from this vehicle, please contact the Glendale Police Department. I will email the VIN privately if anyone would need that info.

Watch your cars - there are bad guys out there.

Thanks guys - Yeah, we were/are pretty upset - we hadn't even driven it yet -we should have picked it up today.
Oh, correction - it had Edelbrock manifold, Tri-Y cams, Holley 600 carb.

Of course we've only barely begun the insurance process and are already looking for a replacement.

I am so very sorry to hear about your 1967 Mustang being stolen. I understand fully because 2 weeks ago on a Friday night our 1991 Mustang was stolen and we were so upset. My husband and I couldn't sleep the first few nights then we said we better get over it because the mustang is gone. The following Thursday the police doing there nightly drive around found it parked outside some guys house along with another stolen car. The police immediately recognized the mustang and called it in and we got the call at 5:00 in the morning.
I don't know if it helped or not but on day 3 I actually brought pictures of our mustang to the police station because I was thinking that if the plates are gone how will they know its our mustang. I don't know if it helped but 2 days after I dropped off the pictures our mustang was found and the plates we not on the car.

So don't give up yet your mustang may be found!

I can't stand a f*ckin theif.... yeah if i ever hear somone just breaking into my car and trying to steal anything from the radar dectector just to even....well just basically if they open my door that is open grounds for me to shoot them and drag them in my house and say they broke into my house....

and they won't have a statement because they won't be alive

if i had a 67 stang that got stolen and if the insruance company did not want to compensate me for it (kinda hard to compensate on such a great car like that) i would go on a personal man hunt for it...

White Angel, I'm attaching a few pictures - they're after one of our Arizona dust storms and prior to white lemans stripes, mag wheels and other work. After that was done we were to pick it up, but never got the chance.

Actually it didn't even have plates yet - we'd just gotten the title a few days before, which we ended up registering after it was stolen. We were going to register and order vanity plates the day we were to pick it up - make a day of it - Sonic's for lunch - lol!
The car had been off the books for so many years (it had been a long term project car for the shop owner), that the original title had been purged. We figured we'd better register the title in case something does pop up.

Yes, LeMans stripes were bumper to bumper - paint, not decal. Commercial white.

An update to our mustang - It was recovered last nite by the Maricopa Sheriff's department. I can't go into details of the investigation, but the car was found IN ONE PIECE!! in an enclosed auto transport trailer in the Tolleson (Phoenix suburb)area. Going for a ride, perhaps?

We got the call at 1:30 a.m. - who said you never get good news at that hour?!!!

Our car is resting comfortably after its ordeal and we'll be driving it soon!

Glad you found it, hate to say this but since it was in a box trailer it was probably on its last ride. I just don't why they took just the one and didn't take any other Mustangs.
