Stock for now. Two GT take off muffler, connected to a GT H-pipe.Upgrade instrument cluster. Shorty antenna. GT rear bumper. GT side skirts. GT front and rear sway bars. So many GT parts, and still a V6 engine. Damn. 18 inch Deep Dish Black rims, with polish lip. 255 front, 275 rear, soon changed to 285.
What I did was clean up the edges where the car was masked off (probably on a seperate layer) from the rest of the picture. These cut-and-paste marks are apparent if you look at the picture closely (but you will need some sort of graphics program TO look at the picture closely, of course).
What I did was to capture the existing car outline, then add to the selection those portions "scooped out" by the bite-marks of the original selection. Then I cloned in those areas on one side of the selection which matched the car. Then I inverted the selection, and did the same thing for the background.
I did some other subtle things, including straightening the horizon line (note the tilt of the building in the original shot).
I call these errors "footprints", traces left behind by the pixel pusher which indicate that re-touching was done.
Frankly, the efforts to make the picture look like a painting were successful and tasteful overall. Just lacked some attention to detail.
My next work would involve the sky, but I would like to have the original source to work from BEFORE it was burned down in Photoshop. The decision to darken the sky was correct, it helps draw attention to the car and balance the overall picture, but the method used was not successful.
UPDATE: Went ahead and re-burned the sky, which turned out acceptable, though it would be a little better starting over from scratch with the original images. Also included the straightened building this time (forgot to upload that image last time).
