Default What 17" wheels will fit my GT500

Does anyone know if any 17" Wheels that will fit on the front of the new Shelby GT 500? If so, please elaborate..thanks Bill

No..you can not go below a 18" wheel on the GT500 without changing the brakes. Possibly if you had them custom made, but I doubt even that.

Why would you want 17's on a GT500? No, they won't fit, calipers in the way.

Personally i would never change the rims on the GT500. I am in love with those stockers. If i had 18 inch tires i'd try getting them for myself. But buying a new set of tires and those rims at appros $220 a pop, that would end up costing a fortune....

A friend of mine is using 17" rims on his 2007 GT500. He had to change the brake system to a system from a 2005+ Mustang GT, using Hawk Performance Brake pads, which works perfect.

That seems like a huge downgrade. 4 piston to 2 and 14'' to 12'' rotor?

I'm sorry, but that sounds as silly as replacing the GT500 5.4 engine and 6 speed transmission with a GT's 4.6 & 5 speed.

Who the hell would do that and why???
