This is a mix of '05+ tech/gt500, pulling more towards the gt500 thread... i have an 06 gt, looking to get this thing 600+hp down the line. i've been researchin on how i can safely do this (wat to beef up etc, anyone with any input, please do so). a friend of mine said he's talked to a few people who said that anythin past 500hp uses a 5.0 engine, and that's wat the super snake has. i know the 5.4's have gone to 800rwhp and such. is there any validity to wat my friend heard?

The Super Snake is a stock 5.4 with a different blower, Kenne Bell. There are a bunch of GT500's with Whipple's and KB's making 800 rwhp.
To get the 4.6 to 600 rwhp would take a fully build bottom end. It would might be about the same as a built short block prepped for a blower. Put a twin screw on top and you would be close. You'd need a new clutch and fuel pumps too.

When they said 5.0. They meant the stock 4.6 engine having a stroker kit bringing the size of the engine up to 298cc which is very close to a 302cc 5.0L engine size so some people just say 5.0
