I want the Shaker1000 and rear spoiler. I would also rather have 4.10 gears. But the price is unreal. I am guessing this is for a KR without the hood and stickers and stuff. I love the no stripes. Now, if I could only sell my 05 GT and win the lotto.
They have another one in Kennesaw identical but Silver in color and it has the Shaker1000 and no Sirius.
That looks like it could be a factory GT500 intended to be shipped to Shelby for conversion into a GT500KR. It makes sense that the 3.73:1 gears would be installed at Ford (instead of the 3.31:1 gears in a regular GT500). However, the car would not have any of the items that get added at Shelby and may be an incomplete GT500, missing some standard GT500 items that are not needed because they get replaced at Shelby. I am leary that the breakdown includes a negative number for the cost of the Shelby GT500KR package.
A few dealers in some areas are now selling GT500s for MSRP. I think that other than the 3.73 gears you'd be better off with a standard GT500.

Didn't I read here somewhere that the red-stripe/line models (black and white both) shipped without the stripes, that they had to go somewhere else for the red stripes, for some reason?
I saw one of each, black and white, with spoiler and stripe delete. I called to ask if they were really stripeless. After some hem-and-hawing, each place said the cars were striped with red, and that there was a spoiler on each.
I'd like to have a stripeless one. How much do you reckon it will cost to have them removed professionally? More than having them out on, I bet.
I wonder if it has the KR suspension or if that is added at Shelby? I also noticed that there is no Gas Guzzler Tax on either of them. That saves another $1300. But I was mainly wondering what kind of differences were there. I wonder if it has the GT500KR tune in it for the 'crisper' throttle and the extra 40 hp? Or the exhaust system? Doesn't the KR use the GT H-pipe or is it unique to the KR?
But I had never heard of the KR package before. Sounds almost like it would be a great basis for a drag pack. Cheap, with no frills on spoilers and stickers.

You can order a GT500KR if you find a dealer who has been allotted one and if you have enough money to pay the asking price. But there is no "KR package" that you can order on a GT500. The designation is strictly for factory use to identify GT500s to be shipped to Shelby for conversion into GT500KRs. All the FRPP kits that modify the suspension, shifter, intake and exhaust are swapped out at Shelby along with the different body pieces and Alcoa forged aluminum wheels. I hadn't given the 3.73:1 gears much thought, but it makes sense that they are installed at the factory before shipment to Shelby, since the factory already has the 3.73 assemblies for the Bullitt Mustangs. If this car is at a dealer it is probably there by mistake.

My dealership called me and offered me to buy one for only 125k, lol. So if anyone knows anyone with that much I can point you in the right direction...

Of the several I've looked at (on the dealers' Web sites) with a 3.73 set listed on the sticker, two (one Silver, one Black) show no fuel economy figures and say "NOT STREET LEGAL" in the EPA section, which seems to me to reduce their sale-ability as ordinary cars to nothing, or less. The others don't show the sticker on the Web, or cut it off before it gets to the naughty bits. What are they doing in a far-from-Shelby-factory dealer inventory?
I have a call in to a nearby dealer who has one of these listed.
Well, these are 2008 models. GT500KR package is listed on the sticker. Kennesaw dealer has three of them listed out of four cars. Albany has one listed out of two coupes. Denver has one out of two coupes. And since they are both the exact same price, they both might be.
I am not trying to say that these are KRs. But they have that listed on the online window stickers. It is on the 'official' Ford dealer supplied websites. I think it is just odd that it is listed that way.
I just wonder why they have that listed on there. It is odd that they also don't have the MPG rating or the Gas Guzzler tax on them. I think I may ride to town later today and see the one in Albany. Give me a good excuse to get out of the house for a little while. Need to ride the motorcycle some anyway. Since I got the Mustang almost a year ago, I have ridden the Triumph once in Feb. The Mustang is just so fun to drive.
I think this might just be a goof on the website. I have seen several things that have been wrong. Like i see a car online thats exactly what i want, i show up at the dealer, and its a 5 speed with a shakker 1000 when the site said auto and shakker 500.

I think you may be right. On the other hand, today I went to look at two of the NOT STREET LEGAL, "stripe delete", "spoiler delete" cars, and what I found was ... nothing. It looks as if the dealers use a place-holder window sticker from Headquarters, maybe one generated when the car is sent to Shelby for final configuration.
I did find a nice Vapor GT500, and took it, and my wife, and some white-knuckle guy (salesman; seems as if every skater on a lot is a manager of some kind - on his business card; nice guy, this one) for a half-hour ride on the on/off/interchange ramps. My wife liked the Cobra badges.
Later on we went to a dealer who twisted my arm and hypnotized me into buying a 2009 GT/CS, white, full load to include light shows, compass mirror, butt-warmer seats, and fake scoops. I need some clutch practice. My wife liked the ride comfort much better than the bumpy, bouncy GT500. And her seat is motorized, too!
For sale, pick-up only (in San Diego CA or nearby; I'm not good at wrapping and shipping): 2006 Mustang convertible automatic, black, low miles, lots of good stuff. $16K. -
Just called Ford dealer and asked about the '08 Shelby they have listed online. It IS a KR but they don't have it yet. It is a placeholder for them with Ford. Due to the modifications at Shelby, it is kind of like the Super Snake. Post-title modifications. KR is a post-dealership modification. So all the dealerships have them listed as 08 GT500's with the $-210 option for the package. But this tells us that the 3.73 gears are from Ford. Then Shelby adds the rest.
I was searching for a GT500 when I thought my car
would get killed by Gustov and I found a silver GT500
just like the ones in the posts above at Estabrook
Ford in Pascagoula Ms. It looks like a good deal.
