I ordered a 2009 gt500 and when we were going through the order it had a code for a 3.73 as an option so we put it in. My dealer called me this morning and said that they researched it extensivly and it dosent look like they can order it. It only comes with a 3.31. True or False?????

Sorry to say but yes the GT500 only comes with 3.31 gears. The GT500KR comes with the 3.73 gears.

I'm not certain there will be any definitive answers in it, but the "$47,000 ... " thread, below, has some discussion about GT500s and 3.73s.

The GT500's are all coming out of the factory with 3.31 gears. Only the ones headed to the Shelby factory for the specialty upgrades are going to receive 3.73 gears. A good friend of mine works at the Shelby factory in Vegas and he gave me the scoop on the new specs.
