Hey everybody, I have a few questions here. I'm looking to get a GT-500, so naturally I have already looked at mods. I was wondering if i were to get a tuner, steeda cold air intake and smaller pulley (2.6 or 2.8) what would i gain? I know powerwise i would get around 100hp+ to the rear wheels. But I want to know how will that affect et's? or 0-60? Cause testing on stock shows 12.8ish on 1/4 and 4.5 or so to sixty. What should i expect to gain? I really want to know if its worth dropping another grand into the gt500. Or even if you have a better suggestion on how to get performance up only spending around $1,000. So if anybody knows some figures or estimated guesses that would be GREATLY appreciated! Thankyou again for your time!

You're not going to add 100+rwhp with a tuner, cold air intake and underdrive pulleys. A tuner will add between 35-40 hp at the flywheel, a cold air intake will add 12-18 hp and underdrive pulleys will add 8-12 hp. That gives you a max gain of 70hp at the flywheel, not at the rear wheels.
I'm talking about the GT-500 here, not a GT. its not a underdrive pulley... its a supercharger pulley. With the steeda cold air intake and tuner on the gt500 you gain supposedly 97 rwhp. plus with a smaller supercharger pulley (either a 2.8 (2-3psi gain) or a 2.6 (4-5psi gain)) you get around 120+rwhp depending on the boost gain.
I know that you're talking about a GT500 but just swapping out the supercharger pulley is not going to give you 100+ rwhp. If you're going by the info on Steeda's website, the 125hp gain that they are talking about is NOT referring to the GT-500, they're talking about the Ford GT. The gain you get by installing that pulley on a GT-500 is between 30-35hp. The Steeda CAI give you a gain of 12rwhp and the tuner will add another 25rwhp. The best way to upgrade a GT-500 is swap the stock Eaton supercharger for a KenneBell

I was just going to say, swapping out the blower for one with more PSI and power is the way to go. But bolting on a puller and intake/tune will still have you at over 550 at the flywheel

Ok look at this exact site. Its from steeda. And if the performance gains your talkin about are true then steeda is gonna get sued probably. I don't think they would lie to this extreme though. so take a look and tell me what you think. Steeda Ultimate Induction Power Pak for Shelby GT500 - 07-08 Ford Mustang
Note: this is only the tuner and CAI. Look around on the site a little to see what it would be with the pulley.
Adding the JLT intake and a 2.6 pulley and tune gave me 90 horse and 100 tq at the wheels. There are a few for sale used for 35ish. If you have the means now is awesome for trying to get into a low milage one...

That is awesome! Was it worth it??? how much did you spend when it was all said and done?

You gotta pay attention to how they worded it... "97 hp to the rear wheels". Notice they didn't say performance gains of 97 hp *at* the rear wheels. Which means your motor will be putting out an extra 97 horse power (sending 97 more into the drive line).
Regardless, it's definately worth the money to get the CAI, tuner and 2.6 pulley. After you have those installed and tuned up, there's not going to be a lot of car's beating you at the track.

I see. I emailed steeda to see what they said. I'll definitely let you and everyone else know what the word is. Now that you say that i definitely want to know whats going on here.
JLT has the intake, pulley, tuner combo for 1100, plus I had to buy the pulley puller tool 130 and the idlers pulley for 190. Absolutely it was worth it. The car screams now.
My car dynod at 412 stock i added a CAI,Pulley,Tune, and Mufflers and dynod at 542.....so you definately can get over 100 hp and that is to the rear wheels....its a big difference.....
