Does anybody have tinted or blacked out/smoked tail light lensesWhat's a good source

They make a vinyl overlay for them that's tinted. But..... I tried them and they didn't work very well. What I ended up doing was buying another set of tail lights, and took them to a shop that does paint. They used a 9 parts clear to 1 part black paint mix and sprayed a few coats of that on the lenses. Came out awesome and you never have to worry about it coming off.

thanks for the idea. i thought there would be some after market smoked lenses designed for GT 500's. Guess not.

You best bet is to use VHT Niteshades... they sell it at summitracing. Basically spray it on and wetsand.... keep spraying and sanding till you get the darkness you like.... then allow it to dry and put on a couple coats of clearcoat. Here is a pic of my old RSX which I no longer have.... and the tail lights. They looked badass. I plan on doing the same thing to my new toy once it warms up. But VHT Niteshades is the way to go and the quality holds up as long as you put some good clearcoat on.
