Default Looking to purchase GT500 need some insight???

Hey Guys,

I go back to 1983 with the stangs. I've owned several along the way. I've always missed my 86 Saleen, oh well..

It appears the Ford in me has come out again Now I'm selling my 06 twin turbo Infiniti coupe (nice car but...)

I'm looking to buy an 08/09. Possible the black with light color stripe (low key looking) sorry don't remember the name.

What's the good & bad of this car. FYI, I've been searching but...

Thanks for the help!!!

I say get a 03/04 cobra and mod the hell out of it. It will have more power and you could still save a few grand!

GT500 all the way! The GT500 is a great machine!

Pros: 440 or so rwhp, 420 or so rwtq, Great looks, Prestige, 5.4L Supercharged V8, Love the supercharger sound, easily upgradable (can add 100rwhp with a $1000 budget easily), posts some impressive times at stock.

Cons: Its heavy, nearly two tons (coupe) or is over two tons (convertible), Muscle car handling(due to 57/43 f/r weight ratio, and heavy). Interior looks too similar to the GT interior. If you don't like supercharger whine, you won't like this car.

Conclusion: If you can get over that it is still a muscle car, and does not have the best of handling, you will love this car!

Yeah, but the S197 looks cooler and the interror is better. I say ge the GT500! If it will be mostly at the track, then go for the 03/04 cobra, but if its on the street get the GT500.

I'm still waiting for the good & bad report (GT500)

FYI, I had an 03 cobra until I blew it up...
I also had an 83 with 5.7 stroker motor that was putting down
better times then my cobra

now I'm looking at the 500
