Hey, just an update for you, I just purchased one of these types of spoilers as well, and after reading your inital post, was carefull to plan before installing it. The tape was white, and it was clear to me that it WAS going to show after the install. Sooooo I painted the leading edge of the tape with touch up paint before removing the stickyback, and once installed, it totally dissapeared. You might try to remove yours and replace the tape, and then paint the leading edge if it isn't stuck on to bad. Otherwise, use a reeeeeeally fine modeling paint brush and paint in the crack. If you mess up, just wipe it off, the paint that is in the crack wont come off, and the paint on the trunk/spoiler will. Good luck.
