Default How to get off the line

I know this is stupid but i need some help. I love to go to the track when i have a chance in my 2008 GT500. Now im used to just lining up at the lights and slamming on the gas when the third yellow light lights up. But if i do slam on gas i go no where, all i get is tires spinning. Then if i let off the clutch nicely i lose alot of time on reaction time so it hurts my time alot. I know the GT500 should be in the low 12's but all im getting is 13.1 and 13.2. I just want to know what im doing wrong and whats the best way to get off the line. thanks

This is kind of hard to discribe but you have to slip the clutch. It's where you're literally riding the clutch. It's that point where the motor is revving and you feel the car taking off without the tires spinning.

either slip the clutch or get some good drag radials or slicks

Get some drag radials and ease out on the clutch without flooring it. It helps to have some suspension too but I would launch around 2500 or so. These cars are VERY hard to launch. I've been racing mine for almost 2 years now.

Just say "goodbye" and then hang up. If it's really important they'll call back.
