Default Best Exhaust For Your GT500

I am surfing through youtube and im not finding one that really pops off to me. Maybe it is because the videos dont do them justice but I have heard my friend slp loundmouths on his GT and it is way deeper than what I am hearing on the videos. The only decent one I could find was this one:

Please if you have any exhausts you can recommend, I am looking for the deeper sound not the raspiness. Thank you.

You can check out powerhouserp.com and click on the banner for the H pipe I think it is. There's some parts to make your GT500 sound like a KR. It's a deeper throatier sound. The parts are not in yet but are being made right now so they should be in pretty soon....within the next 2-3 weeks at the most I think they said.

I have a full Borla system Long tube hpipe and aggresive axle back and I gained alot of power from it. The sound is deeper in person but I like it and would not go another route. Price almost $2500. I hope this helps. Below link is my car w/ whats installed in my signature block. Except 02 sensor replace kit.

I would like to hear some more input on this. The stock mufflers are rather tame for this car, and I am curious as to what others have exchanged the stock sound for.....

I currently have Borla catback exhaust on my gt, and I am not sure if I would go with that on the gt500 or not......

FRPP already sells two different replacement axleback mufflers for the GT500. They are both 304 stainless (will not rust) and both have 4" diameter tips that are angle-cut and have rolled edges (they look terrific in the rear valance cutouts). One is the exact OEM axleback that is stock on the KR (for that deeper throatier sound) and the other axleback is more straight through and has a raspier sound but is only 49-state legal (sorry, California). I already bought the FRPP 50-state legal KR axlebacks (very nice).

Correct Gary. The specific mufflers used on the KR are the FR500 mufflers part number M-5230-S. But the sound is still not there to sound like the KR. The ticket to the sound is those mufflers in conjunction with the "special" H pipe which should be in stock this week or the beginning of next week. These are only for the GT500 but we are currently in the engineering process for the 05 and up GT's to get that sound as well.

The H-pipe is now in stock. They also offer the Ford clamps to go along with them. I know where you can pick up a set of KR mufflers for $515 plus shipping.
