are those stripes on the GT500 actually painted or are they vinyl?

hmm.. i always thought the center stripes across the top of the car were painted from the factory. that means if i put vinyl stripes on my GT, it will not be different from the original. any suggestions on where to buy the strpies which are more like original?

Unfortunetly they are stickers. Very dissapointing. The left one on my rear trunk lid has torn already. I went to Ford to get it fixed under warrenty. They had to take pictures and send a request with the pics to Shelby Automotives for approval. Im still waiting for the new stripe to come in... its been 2 weeks now.

So I would say go through Ford to get the stripes, or through the Shelby Performance website.

Along with that, both of the vanity covers on the valve covers have bubbling paint. Those replacements from Shelby have arrived. I only have 1523 miles on the car. Anyone else have the same problem with bubbling paint?
