Default 2008 Mustang GT500 Production Information

Hey All,

I bought my 08 GT500 in Jan 08. After that I started looking at message forums and reading about people experiences and aftermarket things. And one thing I noticed at the time (on 07's) was production information on their car. Things like how many were produced with those options/color combo and such. I asked how to get that info, and I was told that after the model year production, Ford would send you a paperwork request form, and for $50 or so, you could get all this information.

Well, I was out-to-sea most of the year last year, and either threw it out accidently or never got the request. So a couple days ago, I emailed Ford about that very information. They gave me some vague numbers over the phone (in 08, 7500 GT500's were procuced, 312 with my color) and that was all they could do. The gal I spoke with said Ford didnt keep track of sequencing number or what number in the line mine was (I think I just repeated myself there ). I know some of you guys have more detailed information and can point me in a better direction. Please let me know what to do next!

Thanks, Paul

Thanks GT500Girl! I read that article, and followed the link. Eventually that got me thinking and came up with some results from a sister site.

2008 Shelby Gt 500 - Production Number as posted on Mustang Heaven

Mustang Heaven - 2008 Shelby GT500 Production Numbers

Enjoy, Paul

P.S. The gal from Ford that left a voice mail on my phone has differing numbers as stated above.

Your welcome. Hmmm..that's interesting. But I think the numbers really need to come from SVT.

In case any one had $41,000 large, as of today according to the production numbers listed above a 1 of 60 2008 Grabber Yellow with White Stripe GT500 Manual Trans with 500 miles is sitting at the Ford Dealership in Elbridge NY (Summit Ford). It appears to be a unwanted leftover (40 large is a lot for this area). They have marked it down from $44,000 so I think they are motivated to sell it.

No yellow GT500s were ever made that color was stopped in 06...the GT500 came out in 07...maybe you are talking about grabber orange instead?
