Ok let the flaming begin I love the gt500 but dont wont to be bothered with a stick When I get my grabber orange gt paid off I want to keep it cause I love it and you dont see many grabberoranges around were I live but would love a grabber blue gt500 with white stripes but dont want a stick.
Yea I agree flame us all you want, I would love a GT 500 with a nicely tuned auto. I like driving a stick it is fun but for me I love having an auto whether its on the streets or at the strip it never lets me down. Everyone has a different opinion though.

There is nothing better than driving a manual transmission car! I just feel so much involved with the car when I have to change gears rather than it being done for me. That being said my sixer is an automatic.... My GT, however, has a manual transmission and I wouldn't have it any other way!

whats a gt500??? y would u want that if u have s super cool mustang? doesnt make sense
Well, FYI, the Mustang GT500 has a 5.4L Supercharged V8 developing 500 hp, hence the name GT500...I wouldn't mind an automatic one with my knees problem...
OMG no wonder everyone that has been in my car is puzzled by what I am doing. The younger the more puzzled; if I have a stroke no one will be able to drive me home.
I have heard, oh you have one of those. How did you learn how to use that? Funny thing I just learned yesterday if I don't touch the gas and let out the clutch out slowly the car will give itself just the right amount of gas. So maybe someone can drive me home if I have a stroke.
The heck with just an automatic, I wish I could get a chauffeur with my GT500. Steering is just too much work for me. I could break a nail or something.....
GT 500 and Automatic should never be utilized in the same paragraph, let alone the same sentence!
Blasphemers!
What is the point of having 500 HP if you can't slam through the gears and remove some rubber from your rear tires???
But that is just my opinion. I learned to drive in a 1966 Mustang V8 289 with a 3 speed manual transmission.......Automatics are ok for the family car but never for my car!
hey axeman with a tune these auto performance and shift just like a stick.and will smoke the tires all the way threw the gears and mine is just a gt.i cant even think how powerfull a gt500 with my bama 93 race tune would be.my auto with bama 93 race tune, cai and 410 gears will snap your neck off if i am not carefull with the throttle.i was the same way before learning better i use to say sport car should have stick only untill i test drove my gt with a auto then the salesman good not give me a stick.you if you get a chance ride in one of these gt auto with the right tune and you will be like wow.auto now for me all the way i never taught i would say that.

I drove several automatic GT's in various levels of mod trims and wasn't impressed. Thats why I drove 6 hours to Atlanta to get my GT with a manual transmission. The thrill of driving an automatic GT compared to a manual just isn't the same. The manual transmission is sooooo much better!

Stock for stock, it depends on the driver. Most cannot drive sticks like they think.
Do some mods and a manual is no match for an auto. Everytime you push that clutch pedal in you lose speed and distance. This is true for all vehicles, not just mustangs. Sticks are for show and autos are for go
