I was looking to buy a 09 CS. After looking at, and test driving, a Shelby GT 500, I fell in love. To spend that kind of money though, I want to drive it. Any thoughts or opinions? I am just concerned it's too much car. I've always thought of it as a weekend driver.
It's definitely a daily driver! People drive Corvettes, BMWs, Porsches, and other high performance vehicles every day - The GT500 is definitely one of these vehicles!
The GT500 is one amazing car with a ton of power - And a huge potential for more power!

Starting to drive mine a little more. Started out as a twice a month drive on weekends. Now its a weekender as long as its not raining/wet roads. Sometimes in the evenings to do errands. Just went over 2k miles in 18 months of having her. I'm starting to take the life is short part and drive more.

I was in a car show this weekend and the GT500 owner next to me gave me the nose up when I told him I drive it every day but what is the use in buying such a fun car if you aren't going to drive it . I love driving my car every chance I get it's an '08 and already has 25k fun filled miles on it,so I say drive it,drive it,drive it...
The only problem you'll have as a daily driver in it is so many people telling you that you have a nice car. I have a GT and i get stooped and pulled into a 10+ minute conversation every week with someone new.

Well I use mine as a DD. I have put 8000 miles on it in almost 3 months. I know some people want to put them up and have them always look good but I can't. I have wanted a GT500 for 40 years and I did not buy this one to just sit and look at. I know I am going to have things happen to it but that is the change I take.
