Tried to do some research but information was hard to come by, so i figure who better to ask than someone with the same tires. I bought the GT500 wheels for my 4.0, and they came with the stock Eagle F1 supercar tires with <50 miles on them. These tires don't squeal, and before someone makes the comment "its because its a V6," or "it's because it's an auto," I can, and do, spin the tires pretty frequently. The make a rubbing sound against the ground, and then get all nice and sticky so rocks fly up in my wheel well, but no loud flashy screeching.
Now it's not necessarily a bad thing, because ive had friends get $70 tickets for squealing their tires, it's just odd and im wondering if you all GT500 owners experience the same thing with these tires.
they are also wider. i have trouble squealing my nitto 555's that are 285's and i've got an intake and tune in my auto and can squeal my stockers like there is no tomorrow. Its the tires, not your car. And its normal
Soft tires will do that. I have the same problem. The higher perfomance types have a softer rubber for better grip which also contributes to lower tread life.
Get a bigger motor and I think it will solve the problem. Low HP + TQ and really sticky tires are not a good combination when wanting to spin tires. I can't believe this is a topic...

thanks for your input. your knowledge is much appreciated.
for those who actually read my post and answered, thank you. i dont necessarily want loud tires, they get annoying and get you in trouble with the law, it was just a curious thought that gt500s dont squeal their tires.

GT500's squeal their tires like a mad man. Its the fact that you make less power and have stickier tires that is stopping you.

Try putting on an exhaust upgrade and a cold air kit to help with flow. You can probably make a few extra horses which may give you that chirp that you're after. They also make supercharger kits for your vehicle they are quite a bit more but you would have more power then a stock gt with only 6-8 lbs of boost.
