I just bought my shelby gt500 from a guy around town he put alot of suspension work in it and a c&l intake with a custom tune. He didnt really do anything at all to the exhaust except a magnaflow axle back. I like the sound but to me a car with 600 horses should not be that quite! temporarly im going with the slp loudmouths and then after that I will do headers back... I know this is an issue/dicussion that is all over the place and every1 has their own opinions but if any1 has experience with the complete setup headers back it wud b nice to get sum input. Ive heard alot of bad things from LT's on gt500s and ive also heard to go with H-pipes instead of the X on it already, sumthing about the X-pipe taking away from the lower growl sound. Ive also been lookiing at the kooks full exhaust setup aswell.. anyways if any1 has anything videos or advice on what their shelby sounds like it would help alot.. thanx

I too have the Magnaflow axle backs and I agree...too quiet *L*. No headers for me; next move is new high flow catted x-pipe and a set of FRPP 5GT (Borla stingers) axle backs.

If you want growl, go with an H-pipe and KR mufflers from Ford. You will not regret it one bit.

I haven't started any exhaust work on the 2010 yet but I can tell you this, I have BBK long tubes, off road mid pipe and magnaflow on my SC 2006 Saleen and it sounds like a f@*#%* BEAST! Here is a clip, never mind the AirRide Tech set-up. It's a love/hate thing for most people.....
