Went by my dealer today for an oil change and was checking out the GT500 on the show floor. 6 speed manual, black on black vert with no stripes and they are willing to let it go for 63K. Not a great price but better then a lot out there. Just thought I would let people know if anyone was interested.

And at 63k your still getting ripped of. that kind of $$$ it better be 11 sec stock and its not. Im not a GM fan but the Z06 will out perform for that $$$

I agree with Lugthug on this. But a new ZO6 will be more than 63k if you can get a ZO6 for list around here you are doing well from what I have seen.

a 2007 gt500 started at an auction for 50000 and ended up being sold for 49000? back in august? where did this auction take place, in the swamplands?....sorry but cmon patty...tell a believable one...i'd like to see proof on that from a respectable website
There is no such thing as a descent price on a GT 500. There just is no such thing. They are going to be sold at higher prices cause why sell the car for 50k when someone will come and pay 80k for the exact same car?

unless you can find those rare auctions that go in reverse

The sales manager of Sheehy Ford Gaithersburg told me when I asked him.
If he was lying, then he is a moron.
*EDIT* - I was wrong. The starting bid was 5,000 over sticker. Not 50,000. However it still sold at 49,000.

I got my Z06 for $200 over MSRP (don't ask why $200 )
I still have deposits on a shelby coupe & vert.
Now that I have the Z, just assume take the Vert only
yet for some Odd reason they are trickling in
agonizingly slow.
I'm to the point that if a Ford GT preferably a low milage used
example becomes available for around 100k ,
I'll skip the shelby altogether.
On top of other issues , Ford will supposedly offer a
400-425hp boss 302 that's a few hundred lbs lighter than the GT500
Also the 08 Viper is rumored to have 600+ hp & a re-style.
In the future Ford will use the gt500 front end on lower line GT's just like they did w/fox body stangs.
Boy for a company with so many woes like Ford. You'd think
they'd have the presence of mind to supply as many GT500's as the market would handle without the dealer's gouging.
From someone that bought 2 new ford products in 2 years . If I don't get the GT500 for what the dealer promised, I will Never buy a new Ford ( I say new since I still want the GT )
Let me add , I'm no big gun customer for Ford but I can tell you about another dozen customers I know personally that feel the same way, in my local neck of the woods.
Bad Business ! No wonder the stock is 7 bucks
Ford is rapidily annoying me into not buying another Ford. I have I am on my 6th Ford (4 of which I bought inthe last two years, 3 of those from the same dealer) plus I bought a Ford for my daughter (bougth from same delaer as the previous three) and my brother has bought 7 Fords (in the last 10 years) from the same dealer I have, then throw in my sister has bought one Ford from the same dealer. After all that business my family has given Ford and this one particular dealer, you would think we wold get excellent deals, or at great customer service. However, as of late we have gotton nothing but lousy service and they still try to gouge the price on their cars they sell, even the one we buy. Fortunately, I have a little skill in buying cars (I do it enough) to make a good deal happen. But because their customer service is in the toliet, they will not be getting my business any more (this one dealer, as Ford in general, the jury is still out), other than a nice lawsuit I am working on against the dealer. Maybe they will give me a Ford GT or a Shelby GT500 as a settlement offer...never know.
